Celebrating Diverse Motherhood

A captivating evening of exploration and discussion featured the screening of the thought-provoking short film, “The Butch and the Baby Daddy.” The event, sponsored by Mayana Geneviere shared the multifaceted experiences of motherhood through a queer lens, while also shining a spotlight on the themes of gender and body diversity within the realm of motherhood.

The event brought together a diverse community of individuals, seeking to foster an intersectional dialogue that highlights the myriad ways in which people can become mothers, as well as the unique journeys and barriers they encounter along the way. Through the power of storytelling, we hope to challenge conventional notions of motherhood and embrace the richness and complexity of diverse narratives.
